The Cleanse

OK--I'm thinking of doing something. Actually, I'm not thinking of doing it, I am doing it and I'm starting on Saturday. It's "THE Cleanse." I'm cleansing my system. Basically, you drink this lemon-water concoction and don't eat. Here's the website for more info: http://www.falconblanco.com/health/cleansing/lemoncleanse.htm
I'm going to do it. It's supposed to rid your body of all toxins and impurities (including sickness!!!), so I'm going to give it a whirl. I've been sick with stuff since October and now I have this head congestion. I am so done with this. So--I'll keep you posted on my cleansing. Keep your fingers crossed. Also--I'm thinking I'll do it for 5 days. Feel free to hold me accountable! Hugs!

5 people had nice things to say:

OK...seriously...Robbie did this for a short period of time! It has been a while, so I cannot even remember if he stuck with it long enough. But, the people at his work that did it, said it worked! I will ask you how that is going on Monday! BTW, do we have gymnastics on Monday since it is MLK Day?

You're not going to eat for FIVE days???? How will you have the energy to run after those cute kiddos?

Dr.Oz (who I LOVE) says that if we are eating correctly we should never need to do a cleanse, because our body will be cleansing itself everytime we potty.

Just an FYI from someone who doesn't want you to pass out from hunger on day 3! :)

Well, you know how I feel about the cleansing. I have never intentionally MADE myself as sick as I did when I cleansed. I only made it about 15 hours. I must be LOADED with toxins!! Oh well.

Oh, I so support you with your decision to cleanse the toxins in your body. I have a friend who induces this lemon cleanse every 6 months and she is NEVER sick. I support your decision to cleanse your body and after the cleanse I propose you consider a diet free of glycimic foods (all the stuff we love! - sugar, wheat, etc... high in carbs and low in protein!)

Yes, I am holding you to your decision to cleanse your body in this healthy and fun way!

On with the lemon and cayene peppers!
