First thing's first: I'm sending out my Outlast products to Shelly (I still have your address), Alicia (I have yours, too), Leslie (need yours) and Hollie (how is it that I don't have yours)? I will get those in the mail to you by next Wednesday. I would do it sooner, but . . .
I'm getting ready for my scrapbook weekend this weekend! Woo Hoo! I'm so excited. And I just can't hide it. And I know I know I know I know I know I want (to go scrapbooking)! I'm excited because I am going with lots of my favorite people, we'll be staying up too late, laughing too much (something I know that I do, to the point that I can't breathe, but can't stop), eating yumminesses, drinking too much diet coke and just the right amount of wine, oh, and I guess I'll be scrapbooking, too!
The weather is so beautiful that we can't seem to stay inside! I love it!!! God is rewarding those of us who lived through August and September in our area with a beautiful October.
I love just about anything creative. I love to make things. I love holidays. I love Halloween. I've made several of my kids' costumes over the years and they have been super cute. Molly is going to be Super Girl this year, which I did not make, but I will be making her Super Shoes and they will be Super Adorable. I'll blog them.
With the aforementioned paragraph, you can imagine my horror when my Matthew decided that more than anything else, this year, he (with his whole heart) wants to be . . . Optimus Prime. Now, if you don't have a 5-8 year old boy in your life, you might not know who Optimus Prime is. Well, "he" or "it" is a Transformer, which, from what I can gather, is some sort of boyhood fantasy thingy that is half robot of some sort/half car, that transforms from one to the other in the midst of fighting battles and doing other things boys love. This is not a costume that can be creatively crafted lovingly by a mother. This, gasp!, is a costume that has to be bought from Party City. Complete with super thin one piece jumpsuit that is only printed on the front and the back is just plain gray (which, if you ask me, is not only unattractive, but also dangerous in the dark) and made of some material that is unknown to human kind. It also has a gaping hole in the back, that closes at the top with the teensiest bit of velcro. As if this weren't enough, it comes with an arm piece, a chest plate, and a mask which is made out of the highest quality (do you sense the sarcasm?) plastic available. I think I had a Betty Rubble mask made out of the same stuff 30 years ago. The mask is also held together with the one string of elastic. Nice. There is not much I can do to improve upon this perfection, but I will definitely be purchasing long thermal underwear for Matthew to wear underneath this bit of nothingness, as well as reinforcing the velcro closure with something that will actually hold the costume on his body. I suppose this falls under the category of "What is a Mother to do?"
My photography business has been super busy, which I love! I think I am going to have to post a few photos from my recent sessions, because some of them are just too cute. Like these:
I could just eat her up! And there are others from a session today, but I haven't edited them yet. Oooh, these babies are so cute!
I have got to go to the grocery store. We don't have anything. It's bad. Matthew and Molly had frozen waffles for dinner. Well, I cooked them, so they weren't frozen. You know what I mean.
I guess that's it. There's more, but I think the whole frozen waffle admission is enough for one night.

2 people had nice things to say:
THANK YOU!!
Super Girl! Optimus Prime! Super Shoes! Super Mome! all for Halloweenie! Does it seem rather early to begin discussing what character one will be on Oct 31? As children, we would grab a sheet (ghost dress) and a brown paper bag and dart out the door as excited about getting candy as if we were dressed like Super Woman and Super Man! Times have changed - everything for children costs SO $$$$$!
Love the pics of the BABE! Have fun on the scrapbook weekend and drink a margarita or 22!
