Thank you, Jillian Michaels . . .

I'd personally like to thank Jillian Michaels and The Shred DVD for the following:

1. Not being able to walk up the stairs in my house without holding on to the wall on one side and the rail on the other and pushing with my arms so as to make the pain in my legs a little less. I can only hope my children don't have any emergencies that need to be quickly attended to while playing upstairs.

2. Not being able to sit on the potty with out holding onto the seat to ease myself down because of the pain eminating from my legs.

3. I am now officially a litterbug. My apologies to the cleaner-uppers at Willow Bend Mall today. When I opened the car door, Molly's napkin blew out and I didn't run and get it. Oops . . . let me rephrase that . . . I couldn't run and get it.

4. I would also like to apologize to anyone who happened to witness me going down the escalator at the mall today. As we were leaving our play date, Molly noticed the escalators and wanted to ride up and down before leaving (she loves them). So, being the sweet and most excellent Mommy who loves to indulge her children, I agreed. Imagine my horror when we got to the top and I look over at the down escalator to find it BROKEN. That's right. We had to walk down the 27 stairs. I tried to conceal my pain and not grab onto both hand rails, but I know my half-hobbling, half hopping onto the next lower step was not pretty.

5. OK--enough complaining. I guess I also have to thank Jillian for making me think twice at lunch and ordering a salad instead of what I really wanted. And for making me not finish Matthew's chocolate chip waffles after breakfast.

So, surely by the end of day 2 I have lost at least 5 pounds and now you can see defined muscles in my amazing Olympic athlete-type legs, right? Nope--but I feel like you can, and I guess that's the first step!

3 people had nice things to say:
